Hey there, I'm Charlie, the face behind the camera! To keep it brief, because lets face it, we're all busy people, I am a mom of 2 beautiful children, borderline obsessed with crystals, tarot and all things woo, slightly impulsive, always up for a laugh, always finding a new project or hobby to get stuck into, and absolutely in love with music (fun fact, I'm a singer in a local function band).
My photography journey started over 10 years ago now, working in a little local photo shop & studio after I left school and (after several years trying out literally every other career opportunity out there) since the C-word changed the world, I decided to make a change too and go back to my creative roots... so The Authentic Moments was born.

I adore the little snippets in time that no one pays much attention to, but that really hold the true essence of a memory. A family, a couple in love, a newborns milky smile... It's all magical to me. I love getting to know my customers and with my laid back approach, I'm constantly watching and learning, and love to just go with the flow and see what opportunities present themselves - what makes the kids grin, or the bride relax, what helps mom stop and just enjoy the fun, or helps to soothe your newborn. I have an eye for catching the light and snapping those spontaneous moments that just can't be predicted or posed.
I have a passion for creativity and capturing the authentic moments
Whether you want me to be a fly on the wall snapping candids all day long, or assisting with some creative direction for effortless editorial shots, my main aim is to have you feeling comfortable and confident, trusting me to do what I do best, whilst you just relax and have fun.
I absolutely love getting to meet and talk to all the lovely families I get to work with, and it's an absolute honour to be trusted to catch some of your most precious memories - and maybe have a coffee or three and a good old natter while I'm at it.
My style is very relaxed and candid - I like you to feel at ease with me! Trust me to do my job and just treat me like a friend, or even forget I'm there while I shoot from the sidelines - I really don't mind as long as you're having fun.
Once you get to know me, you'll soon learn that I'm not afraid to take risks or do something unexpected. So if you're looking for someone to find some unique spots and photo ops, embrace the rain, get a dress muddy or jump in a stream, then I think we'll get along just fine.
